O-Grill 3000B Review by K. Whisman (Pa)

I purchased this as a Father's Day gift and we have been using it now for two years. I heats up and cools down quickly. Cooks everything evenly and cleans up easily. We take it with us to tailgate approx 3 times a week April - Oct as well as taking it on vacations, so it has gotten plenty of use. I also purchased the O-Grill table which is also a fantastic product. Highly recommend both.

O-Grill 3000B Review by Billy Heywood (Boston)

This is a great portable grill that is large enough to cook enough food for multiple people, but small enough to bring camping/to the beach/wherever you want to cook over fire! The cast iron grilling surface is great, and the I can generally clean the entire grill (including below the grate) with a couple wet paper towels after it's cooled after using. I line the drip tray with aluminum foil for easy clean-up. I would recommend this grill to anyone where getting a full size grill isn't an option, but there is still a desire for a quality small grill beyond a cheap small one you can get at a drug store.

O-Grill 3000B Review by Erik Jensen

I did a lot of research on this grill and others. I was very excited about it and I couldnt wait to get it!

I was struggling between getting the Weber Q200 or this one because of the portability. The reason I chose to get this one was because you could carry it with one hand, easy to clean for inside storage and you can get the storage bag to maintain cleanliness. I could not do this with the Weber grill. I have no place to store a grill outside my apartment and dont want it to get stolen. So I prefer having a grill I can keep inside when not using.

However, I grill 3+ times a week and quickly learned that grilling is very messy. I never had to clean a grill, other than the use the wire brush against the rack to clean off the food. With this O-Grill, you need to clean the rack AND you need to clean under it too. The grease usually is cooked onto the bottom of the grill and takes some aggressive scrubbing with water and a green pad and about 3-4 sheets of paper towels to clean up (about 5 minutes). Very messy indeed, but this does keep the grill clean and in good shape for a longer time. It also keeps the smell down too for inside storage. You dont need to do this if you plan on storing it outside or in the garage.

The grill heats up pretty quickly and the cast iron rack does a good job of transferring the heat to the food. I always do the majority of my cooking with the lid closed. It probably wouldnt do that great with the lid open because the wind blows out the flame pretty quickly. The lid provides enough clearance for most food. I dont ever plan on grilling a whole chicken anyways, but there is enough clearance to grill a half chicken if you wanted too.

I bought this grill for grilling hamburgers, hot dogs, carne asada, steaks, corn and kabobs. No problem! The rack has guards built-in to protect grease from dripping onto the burners (similar to a Weber grill) and does cause the food to cook unevenly if straddled over these guards. So you have to be strategic. The guards are larger and in a large U-shape compared to a Weber grill. It does make it a little tricky if you want something to get a little char. Overall, it does a good job for the type of grilling I do (Intermediate).

Sometimes I think should have bought the Weber grill but then I need to remember why I bought the O-Grill in the first place;
1. Portability (carry with one hand and same with the O-Dock) I want to take this camping and to the beach frequently.
2. Storage (takes up less space inside) It fits in my kitchen cabinet and the O-Dock beside my fridge.
3. Cleanliness (must maintain cleanliness of grill if stored inside) I couldnt do it as well or as easy if I had a Weber.

The O-Grill is a niche grill for specific needs and if it fits your criteria like it does mine, then you will be a happy customer. Plus, you will get lots of compliments because of the colors available (mine is blue) and everybody thinks it looks cool.

By the way, I got a better deal at BBQ's Galore for the grill, O-dock and bag and I got to take it home instantly.
